Production company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, founded 1938 by James R. Baker. Mode-Art Pictures (later evolving into Mode Two Productions) made sponsored films for corporations, associations and government agencies such as U.S. Steel Company, Allegheny-Ludlum Steel. Dravo Corporation, Koppers Company, the American Legion, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mode-Art also produced television commercials and programs, including the Sportsmens' Club syndicated series. Prelinger Archives acquired their materials between 1986 and 1990 and holds rights to the collection.
